Stayed at the Taj Malabar Kochi for 3 nights. What an amazing experience right from the welcome to airport drop off. Tajness all the way. Even though the hotel was fully occupied, with two weddings going on at the site, with the restaurants being extremely busy, everything was handled so amazingly by the staff and the supervisors. The supervisors were always actively sorting out the guest flow in the restaurants with not a single issue visible in spite of the busy flow. Food, again awesome - fantastic spread, good variety, top notch quality- what more can I say. Rooms were excellent with a heritage character, with splendid harbour views of ships coming and going. Housekeeping was again top notch. We hired their car for two days sightseeing - again perfect experience, superb drivers, clean well maintained Innovas, excellent driving, right upto airport drop. This is what is Tajness - an experience in perfection. It's a testament to the management of the hotel to create such an impression in a guest. 10 on 10 for outstanding hospitality standards.

Taj Malabar sets the bar for customer experience. From pre-arrival, through our stay and facilitating our onward journey Taj, with the conscientious leadership of Elizabeth, tailored and personalised our experience. Our preferences were discussed, the welcome felt personal authentic, our room included a small anniversary cake, the meals were exceptional and the grounds gracious and atmospheric, whilst nestled in a working port. We enjoyed complimentary high tea, cultural entertainment and a boat trip around the port, supported by a commentary of the history of Cochin. During our time we also went Muttoncherry to see the oldest synagogue and do a little shopping, had lunch at the famous seagull restaurant and visited Fort Cochi. We had access to the hotel car and a driver, for a fee who made sure we got to the right places and we also had a lift to the backwaters for the next part of our holiday, a rice boat cruise on the backwaters Thank you Team Taj for an unforgettable experience.

Oh my gooodness, where do I begin. From their beautfiul oasis of a property with every facility you could need my sister and I had an amazing staycation at the Taj Malabar. We were only there for one night, but the staff made us feel so very welcome - and I mean every single staff member we encoutered! We had fabulous food with a made-on-request item at breakfast from Chef Sunil, great service at the restaurant from Alex and Dinesh, Latheef gave us amazing information about their garden and plants, Jasmine gave us a warm welcome and a great boat tour. There was an out of this world floral arrangement at the entrance and we were given an extensive overview of how that beauty comes together. We really enjoyed our stay overall but the staff made it extra special. The room in and of itself had a great view (501) and was impeccably decorated, with a smart TV. Super comfy bed and sheets - as with all hotels in the Taj family.

My mother and I spent two wonderful days in this exceptionally nice and beautiful hotel. We were immediately upgraded to a big heritage room that was tastefully decorated and full of charm with the most elegant lighting. The breakfast had pleasant surprises like smoked salmon slices, pork salami and a variety of dishes that could be ordered. The in-house restaurants also serve very tasty food, including one of the best tenderloin burgers in South India, which I ate at Pepper. There is a great collection of coffee table books that you can borrow and sit in the common areas and watch the ships sail by. The outdoor spaces are even more beautiful and romantic at night. There are also lovely cultural performances. The best part was how the staff took care of me. Special thanks to Jasmine, Cindrella and Angel, as well as members of the management such as Amol and Jihan.

This is a fabulous hotel in a fantastic location. We had a sea view room and had panoramic views across the water. Even saw dolphins! Lovely gardens and infinity pool overlooking the water. Really enjoyed the complimentary sunset boat trip! This is a good location away from the hustle and bustle of Fort Cochi or the mainland but you do need to get a ferry or taxi to get anywhere but ferry a 5 minute walk from the hotel and taxi's or tuktuks outside the hotel. Bar had good selection of drinks and could drink inside or out. Good outside area for eating as well right by the water. Good breakfast on offer and the Rice Boat restaurant was fab - we had the taster menu and would really recommend.
